Training 5/16/2015

On May 16, 2015 members of the Antioch Volunteer Fire Department took part in a training exercise in full turnout gear with SCBA (self contained breathing appliance). The exercise consisted of moving a charged attack line 150 feet, raising a 20 ft extension ladder, moving a dummy 30 feet, and crawling under a garage door. The purpose of the exercise was for the fire fighter to learn how to control his usage of air from the SCBA. Please see more pictures under training tab.

KIA Donated A Vehicle For Training

KIA donated a SUV to the Antioch Volunteer Fire Department to train on. Members are practicing forceable entry into the engine compartment. Please see more pictures under the training tab.

Bikers Support the Harris Volunteer Fire Departments

The Harris County Chamber had the first annual Wheels O’Fire motor bike ride to show support of the Harris County Volunteer Fire Departments.

The ride took place on October 25 from 9-3. The ride terminated at the Cataula VFW.

Turbo Draft Training 10-18-14

The Turbo Draft is a device the department can use to draft water from a lake, river, swimming pool, and other water sources. The Turbo Draft supplies a large volume of water to help fight a large fire.
